resilience refers to an entity's ability to continuously deliver the intended outcome despite adverse events

resilience is the ability to absorb or avoid damage without suffering complete failure

resilience is the ability to provide and maintain an acceptable level of service in the face of faults and challenges to normal operation
resilience is the capacity of a system to tolerate disturbance without collapsing into a qualitatively different state that is controlled by a different set of processes

resilience is the ability of an organisation to anticipate, prepare for, and respond and adapt to incremental change and sudden disruptions in order to survive and prosper
